Children’s Wildlife Print

Finishing my second year at Nottingham Trent, I completed a children's flat print project. I focused on endangered and semi-endangered English wildlife, particularly the dormouse. Taking an innovative approach, I used a print press to handcraft elements of nature, deconstructing them to form the dormouse while also incorporating carved textures to add depth. I chose soft, neutral tones to reflect the natural environment and ensure a gentle visual impact, ideal for wallpaper or clothing. My target audience was ages 1–3, a crucial stage in child development.
